FIFA has promised to advise CAF to reschedule the Leone Star matches against Black Star after accepting Sierra Leone's apology in Zurich.
Reliable reports from the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland indicate that the world football governing body will now advise the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to reschedule Sierra Leone’s matches against the Black Star of Ghana that were cancelled last week due to the impasse between FIFA and the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
World football governing body (FIFA) has given orders that Sierra Leone should by September 24 this year explain the decision by the ACC to remove the President of Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) or face possible sanction. FIFA in a letter said reports from Sierra Leone indicate that the country’s anti-graft agency stormed the premises of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) and installed its own executive which according to FIFA constituted a violation of its statutes on third party interference.
Sierra Leone faces the prospect of a ban from international competition by FIFA after the country’s Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) followed through on a threat to raid the offices of its football association on Tuesday.
The ACC threatened the move after sending a letter to Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Isha Johansen, telling her to step down over allegations of match-fixing involving the national team.

The Sierra Leone Swimming and Water Polo Association recently launched eight days training course for PE teachers across the country at the Saika Stevens Stadium.
The essence of the training is to empower PE teachers to help popularize Water Polo sport in the country as it is a new sport and the technical knowledge is not there yet to improve it.
According to the expert from South Africa Brad Rowe he said the main imitative is to increase the awareness that the sport exists and also to help swimmers understand the necessary skills that are involved in the sport. He went on to say that the participants will be receiving certificates from FINA.
The Public Relations Officer for the Sierra Leone Diving and Water Polo Association, Gida Kiz Kamara said the association is training a total of thirty six PE teachers and that coaches are present at the training course. He added that these teachers and coaches will help to improve the sport in the country as Water Polo is a fairly new sport in the country.
The postponement of Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) Congress which was to have been held this month has angered both the Sierra Leone Sports Minister Ibrahim Nyelenkeh and some members of the SLFA, according to reliable reports.
The minister had hoped to oversee the return of football in the country within 90 days of taking office in May. Meanwhile, Minister Nyelenkeh has warned that his government will take strong action against the SLFA if the congress doesn't hold as originally scheduled.
"We'll not accept the postponement because time is not on our side," Nyelenkeh told this reporter.
