Youths of Sierra Leone has applauded the newly launched Strengthening Community-Led Accountability for Improved Service Delivery, SABI Program.
SABI is a four year citizen-led accountability program funded by UK aid and being delivered by a consortium of leading international and Sierra Leonean Partners, led-by international development agency Christian Aid.
The Nominees for the 2017 National Entertainment Awards in Sierra Leone have been officially unveiled by LAKE Production Entertainment Company and the Ministry of Tourism and Cultural Affairs at the ministry conference room at Kingharman Road, in Brookfields.
The award ceremony has been slated for the 29th April 2017, at the Bintumani International Auditorium, Aberdeen in Freetown.
Family members of Mr. Sulaiman Kamara, have expressed grave concern over the mystery surrounding the disappearance of their son since he witnessed his father’s burial ceremony in Sanda in the Northern Region of Sierra Leone.
According to family member who spoke to this Reporter on the condition that his name should not be mentioned, Sulaiman’s late father, Pa Alpha Kamara,was the ArgbaAgedeh, that is, the Head and Custodian of the Gbangbani Secret Society for the past twenty years until his death in January this year.
Reports reaching this newspaper indicate that Mr.Ezekiel Ade Coker, formerly of 81 Kissy Road in Freetown, is now on the run fearing for the safety of his life.
A family member who spoke to this Reporter on the condition that her name should not be mentioned, stated that Ezekiel’s troubles started when his grandfather,Mr. Robert Coker, Head of Jui Village, died on 28 November,2016 and he and his family went to his funeral.

As youth unemployment remains stubbornly high in the country, SEP decided to introduce it’sentrepreneurshipprogramme to serve as a solution that might reduce the highrate of unemployment in Sierra Leone. The objective of the training is to introduce potential entrepreneurs especially the youths to the methods necessary to effectively develop business plans, start and manage their businesses from product concept to strategic development. This programme is also meant to educate entrepreneurs including innovators regarding the procedures for entrepreneurial planning, and the practical steps which must be taken in the formative phases exploring start-up opportunities.
Sierra Leone's youngest Commissioner, Alhaji Dauda Musa Bangura, past Sunday 18th December 2016,joined key Islamic scholars, at the Africa Muslim Agency Hall in the East End of Freetown to deliver a public lecture on the theme, "Security and Peace in Islam." The programme was organized by Masjid Fruqan Muslim Youth Jamaat with the motto, "Sacrifice in the Name of Allah".
