Reliable reports from the FIFA headquarters in Zurich, Switzerland indicate that the world football governing body will now advise the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to reschedule Sierra Leone’s matches against the Black Star of Ghana that were cancelled last week due to the impasse between FIFA and the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
Hon. Justice Manuella Harding presiding over the High Court of Sierra Leone has incarcerated four accused persons at the Male Correctional Centre at Pademba Road in Freetown for allegedly committing capital offences, contrary to law.

In compliance with Section 7 of the Human Rights Commission Act, 2004, the Commission’s investigation found out that the child was contracted in marriage by a forty two (42) year old Ibrahim Conteh resident of Makomp village, Bombali Shebora Chiefdom in Bombali District.
The Director of Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU), Ahmed Kamara has stated that they will be hosting the Maritime Conference on Money Laundering under GIABA from 24 to 26 October this year. He added that the event will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Freetown.

The First Lady of the Republic of Sierra Leone Fatima Bio has called on neighboring countries to partner with Sierra Leone in the protection of lives of elephants and other wildlife in the continent. She made this call at the International Wildlife conference held in London.
Delivering her speech Fatima Bio said Sierra Leone is a country that has more elephants than what the country can account for. She stated that the country has not been able to account for the amount of elephant she has, which, according to the First Lady is as a result of the lack of the required capacity to fully assess the situation of elephants in the country.
