This is according to Zainab Sheriff who explained to the press on Tuesday that the organizers and sponsors want to ensure there are little or no mistakes.
Miss Sheriff who is one-time Miss Sierra Leone and initiator of Big Sister Sierra Leone explained further that one of the major sponsors of the event – AFRICELL had met and discussed with the other co-organizers Africa Young Voices that inasmuch as they are footing the bills, they want to ensure that since this is the first-ever Big Sister event for Sierra Leone, there should be no room for mistakes; the reason why they need an additional twenty days to fix-up the house where the competitors will stay throughout the reality TV show Big Sister Sierra Leone.
She informed her audience that the selection process was very tedious having to choose from forty three (43) contestants during the audition. She added that this first-ever Big Sister Sierra Leone event is a branding tool for the country and as such there should be no room for mistakes. She added that the name of this first Big Sister Sierra Leone event named the Ella Koblo Gulama Season I is more about empowering women and called on other interested parties to support the event.
Other prominent speakers at the press conference were the representative from Zedzee, Samuel Wise Bangura of AYV and Valona the producer.
