Sierra Leone’s Permanent Representative to the African Union and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia , His Excellency Osman Keh Kamara , has made strong recommendations about solving the perennial problem of children in armed conflict in Africa .

On Sunday June 28, 2015, the leaders of the Mano River Union (MRU) concluded the 3rd Extraordinary Summit on Ebola held in the Guinean capital, Conakry. A communique was issued at the end of the summit, re-emphasizing that the current top priority remains the achievement of resilient zero infections in Guinea and Sierra Leone, revitalising of health care delivery systems, restoring livelihoods and revamping the economies of the three worst affected countries.
In an effort to establish a peace infrastructure in Sierra Leone, the West African Network on Peace Building (WANEP) has commenced a two day national consultative conference. The conference which was held at the Civil Service Training College on Tower Hill was themed “paving a roadmap and strategies towards the creation of peace infrastructure in Sierra Leone: An opportunity for its legitimization by the constitutional review process.”
