The Commissioner of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has described internal auditors as key stakeholders in the fight against corruption. Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara made this statement at the opening session of a two-day workshop for internal auditors of government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) at the Cathedral Hall in Freetown.

The Sierra Leone Roads Authority (SLRA) has at the weekend compensated property owners in the Bombali and Tonkolili District for the usage of their land and damage of food crops in the ongoing construction work across the districts.
The compensation was paid to twelve members across the two districts, with Tonkolili district having the majority of beneficiaries in the compensation ceremony held at the Konikie Barrina Chiefdom in Makali town, Matotoka Town in the Tonkolili District and Mariki, Paki- Masabang Chiefdom in the Bombali District.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared Sierra Leone Ebola-free. It said that 42 days have passed since the last person to be infected with Ebola in the country had given a second negative blood test. The 42-day period is the equivalent of two Ebola virus incubation periods.
