Akhmed Femi Mansaray holds the position of Northern Region Deputy Secretary General of the governing All People’s Congress (APC) Party. He is also Secretary of the Northern Region APC Party Office Project and has been actively involved in the monitoring of the multi-million dollars project.
Akhmed Femi Mansaray formally joined the APC in London and later vied for the party symbol to contest the November 2012 parliamentary election in Constituency 047, Koinadugu District, but he lost the symbol.
But like other Sierra Leoneans in the Diaspora who would hastily return when they lose political contests at home, Akhmed Femi Mansaray decided to stay and work proactively towards promoting the cause of the party at home and abroad.
He is happily married with five children – four girls and one boy – who are residing in London, but he sacrificed the pleasure of staying with them in order to dedicate himself to party activities and to work in the interest of his people in Koinadugu District despite he was unemployed.
Though Akhmed Femi Mansaray lost the party symbol to contest the 2012 parliamentary election, he has never stopped visiting his people on a weekly basis and working in their interest.
According to very reliable sources, Akhmed Femi Mansaray was at the construction site of the Northern Region APC Office when his name was announced as presidential nominee for the position of Deputy Minister in the Ministry of Political and Public Affairs.
Based on his patriotism, dedication and commitment to serving his party and country, those familiar with Akhmed Femi Mansaray believe that the President made no mistake in nominating him as Deputy Minister. They believe that he has what it takes to make him deliver big time because he is dedicated and result-oriented.
Those who spoke to this medium on Akhmed Femi Mansaray’s nomination prayed for a cordial relationship to exist between him and his Minister, Nanette Thomas, who was the second in command at the Attitudinal and Behavioural Change (ABC) Secretariat.
