Her Excellency, Ambassador Lulu Xingwana complained that there are agencies that had been demanding monies from people, in the name of securing them visa to South Africa. The Ambassador ascertained that complained had been reaching them about agencies that had been extorting money from people in exchanged for visa, she stressed that some unscrupulous agencies had been requesting for thousands of US dollars from people, she described such act as an absolute criminal and spiteful act.
Ambassador Lulu established that the actual South Africa visa fee is $ 95.50. She further encouraged Sierra Leoneans to report visa fraudsters to the country’s appropriate authorities, as she established that all South Africa visa application process should went through the right channel, and if all things went normal, South Africa visa could be issued on the same application day.
Giving his statement, the Minister of Information and Communication, Mohamed Bangura said the government of Sierra Leone currently working unremittingly to establish bilateral relationship with solemn countries.
He said as a government they had created the platform for Sierra Leoneans to facilitate their travelling to South Africa for $95.50. The minister promised that the country would be having and airline, with planes flying from Sierra Leone to Banjul De Gambia.
