A Sierra Leonean Hollywood Actor Idris Akuna Elba last evening of 23rd October, 2017 hosted the 2017 Best FIFA Football Awards ceremony in London.
Elba, who played Nelson Mandela in the 2013 film "Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom" and won a Golden Globe in 2012 for his titular role in the TV detective show "Luther," hosted the ceremony at the London Palladium.
The 44-year-old Arsenal fan was joined by ESPN presenter Layla Anna-Lee and British band Kasabian at the event.
The game Roll ball is a new sport in Sierra Leone, the game stated in the country some two years ago. The Sierra Leone National Roll Ball Team has participated ones in the just concluded Roll Ball Championship in Bangladesh. But interestingly, Roll Ball is a sport similar to basketball or handball that is played on inline roller skates. The play consists of two teams of six players each, five field players and a goal tender.
Players move toward the goal while dribbling or passing a ball similar to a basketball, with the aim of throwing the ball into a goal at each end of the field.

Sierra Leone’s former Monaco striker Mohamed Kallon said he is aiming to earn his UEFA Professional Coaching License in 2019. Former Leone Stars captain, Mohamed Kallon, is aiming to improve coaching back home in Sierra Leone after he acquired his UEFA A License coaching qualification.
It is the second highest coaching qualification given by European football’s governing body.
Nathaniel Jumu Bockarie, a rising professional footballer in England has urged football administrators in Sierra Leone to provide more opportunities for young football players in the country to ensure that their professional dreams are actualised.
Bockarie, 19, is in Manchester International Academy in Salford, Manchester and also plays at the Central back for Charnock Richards Football Club in the Premier Division North in the West Countries League in England.
