Detractors trying to defame the good interest of subscribers using a reliable and affordable communication under the Africell network should now be bowing their heads in shame as the country’s National Telecommunications Commission has finally made clarifications.
As the Ebola outbreak continue ravaging the country ,the Crojimmy Best Organization(CBO) during the just concluded three-day stay-at-home fed the less privileged people within the Crojimmy Community in the Eastern part of Freetown, with food and water.
The Sierra Leonean non-Governmental organization, All Works of Life (AWOL), donated 2,205 bags of rice and other food items Countrywide to support the Government of Sierra Leone on the stay at home safety policy titled “we are with you .‘’
The ceremony was held at the Ministry of Information and Communications conference hall, Youyi Building in Freetown.
The donation of food items includes 2,205 bags of rice, 500 gallons of cooking oil, 100 cartoons of Magi, 100 bags of salt and 5,000 bundles of pure water.
According to the Chairman of AWOL, Amb. Anthony Navo Jnr. the items were donated by the following partners: African Minerals SL.ltd 1,300 bags of rice, 500 gallons of cooking oil,5000 bundles of pure water,100 cartoons of Magi and 100 bags of salt, Mr. Frank Timis, Chairman Timis Corporation/AML 500 bags of rice plus 10 cartoons of Magi, Mr. Moseray Fadika;100 bags of rice, Airtel SL Ltd;150 bags of rice plus 10 cartoons of Magi. AWOL Sierra Leone; 100 bags of rice, AWOL UK; 25 bags of rice. AWOL USA; 30 bags of rice. AWOL Holland; 10 bags of rice. AWOL Australia; 15 bags of rice.
He maintained that these donations would target mainly quarantined households, disabled and deprived communities across the country, adding that these items would be distributed to representatives from the 12 districts for the use of the District Health Medical Teams (DHMT).
He disclosed that Kailahun District would receive 150 bags of rice; 40 gallons of oil, 10 bags of salt, 10 cartoons of Magi, and 416 bundles of water. Kenema to receive 150 bags of rice,40 gallons of oil,10 bags of salt,10 cartoons of Magi, and 416 bundles of water.
