After a week of successful Commonwealth Summit in London, His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio on Saturday, 21st April, 2018 landed in Doha, Qatar for a state visit on the invitation of the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani.
The state visit by His Excellency was focused on a bilateral discussion focusing on Education, Agriculture, Trade and Investment, Youth Employment, Tourism and a range of other issues.
The name Lahai Lawrence Leema has become synonymous with confusion, suspicion, altercation and in other ways and things that do not promote the popularity of the Sierra Leone People’s Party or augur well for a party which Lahai Lawrence Leema claims to be an avid supporter.
It is disheartening to note that even though the dust has partially settled over the electoral process and things are now taking shape and moving forward, Lahai Lawrence Leema does not seem to think so.
It is on record that government took possession of 52 homes donated by some construction companies to help the August 14, 2017 mudslide victims in the areas that were affected in Freetown and elsewhere in the country.
But the survivors are now saying that almost a year after the unfortunate incident, the government is telling lies about paying compensation to mudslide victims. Victims said they were being “used as pawns in a political chess game.”
“This event offers a unique opportunity for businesses in our country Sierra Leone and the region to exhibit their products and services to enable them tap into new markets and more importantly enhance their competitiveness in the regional and global economy.”
These words were part of the statement delivered by Vice President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh.
